Where Your Donation Actually Goes

A breakdown of what donated dollars pay for at a small volunteer-run rescue.
We are entirely volunteer run, so donations go to dogs rather than salaries. Here is the split.
Veterinary care
The largest share by far. Spay and neuter, vaccines, heartworm treatment, dental work, dysplasia assessments and the occasional emergency surgery.
Boarding
When foster homes are full, boarding is the only thing standing between a dog and a shelter. It is our most unpredictable cost.
Food and supplies
Large breed food, crates, martingales, harnesses and enrichment for every dog in care.
Training support
Sessions for dogs with reactivity or handling issues, plus post adoption help so placements stick.
What it buys in practice
Twenty five dollars covers a month of preventatives. Seventy five covers a set of vaccines. One hundred and fifty moves a dog toward surgery they are waiting on.
