Volunteer

Volunteer with Royal Kennels Rescue

We are entirely volunteer-run. Whatever you are good at, we probably need it — and you do not have to own a dog to help.

Where we need help

Transport

Drive dogs between shelters, vets and foster homes across Arizona. Even one run a month helps.

Photography & video

Good photos get dogs adopted faster than anything else we do.

Home checks

Visit approved applicants in your area and report back to the placement team.

Events

Staff adoption events and meet-and-greets in the East Valley.

Fundraising & grants

Help us find the money that pays for surgeries.

Social media

Write posts, answer messages, keep listings current.

What volunteering actually looks like

There is no minimum commitment and no long orientation. Most volunteers start with a single transport run or a photo session at a foster home, and go from there.

Volunteers who work directly with dogs get a short handling briefing first. Cane Corsos are strong and often unsure in new environments — we do not hand a leash to anyone who has not been walked through it.

Short on time, not on heart?

A one-time gift covers a vaccine round, a heartworm test, or half a surgery.
