Size before temperament
A friendly 110 pound dog can flatten a toddler by accident. Before temperament even enters it, ask whether your household can manage that mass around small people.
Guardian instinct cuts both ways
A Corso may decide your child needs protecting from a visiting friend. That is not aggression, it is the breed doing its job with bad information. It needs management, not punishment.
What has to be true
Adults supervise every interaction. The dog has a crate or room children never enter. Children learn to leave a resting dog alone. Everyone in the house follows the same rules.
